Maralyn L. Marshall, 77, Of Poughkeepsie

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Maralyn L. Marshall, of Poughkeepsie, died Oct. 29. She was 77.

She was born Aug. 7, 1939, in Canaan, Conn., to the late Chester Dean and Mary Liner. 

She graduated from Millerton School in Millerton and beauty school in Newburgh. As a young girl growing up in Millerton, she often rode her horse to town and marched and twirled her baton leading the town parades. She had so much fun farming, raising animals and vacationing at the beach with close friends. She owned and operated 22 Junk-A'tique in Millerton, since 1974. She and husband Ernie owned and operated 44 Auction Market in Poughkeepsie, for six years. Marshall had a keen eye for antiques and anything unusual. She loved her dogs, especially her Jack Russell Terriers. She enjoyed the outdoors, cabin up north, planting and tending her flower gardens.

She is survived by sons, Michael W Marshall (Melinda) and their children Jonathan, Tyler and Amanda Winters and Ernest J Marshall (Susan) and their children Kimberly, Kaylia, Timothy and Steven; daughter, Cinthia A Hawks (Bryan) and their children Madison, Bryar and Hunter; brothers ,Richard Dean (Carol), Jack Dean (Monika) and Alan Gary Dean (Judy); and eight great-grandchildren.

Donations can be made in her memory to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
